Hollow Fiber Vacuum Solutions
While not an obvious solution, hollow fibers actually provide an excellent means of delivering light into a vacuum chamber. Hollow fibers are particularly useful for infrared applications with excellent transmission through both mid-wave and long-wave regions

Alignment
Hollow fibers have a relatively large internal diameter (ID = 0.2 – 1.5 mm) and low divergence angle (½ angle ~ 30 mRad). These facts make it possible to “pitch / catch” across a vacuum window with minimal loss. For example, for ID = 500 µm fibers, the loss at the fiber-to-fiber junction is < 1 dB

Windowed flanges can utilize a wide range of Guiding’s hollow core fiber optic waveguides. Options include different IDs, lengths, and wavelength ranges.
